Wearn Group employees came together for a multicultural Biggest Morning Tea fundraiser, raising $1,323 for Cancer Council. Through generous donations, homemade dishes and team spirit, staff exceeded the original fundraising goal and supported an important cause.

Our infamous Mack Flintstone was proudly on display at Sydney Truckfest, held on 21–22 March at the Hawkesbury Showground.

Our management team recently completed a Diploma of Leadership through World Class Teams, strengthening their skills to better lead, support and deliver across our projects.

Members of the Wearn leadership team have regularly taken part in CEO Dare to Cure — an annual Sydney fundraising event supporting the Children’s Cancer Institute — demonstrating our ongoing commitment to childhood cancer research.

Ever since 2023, Wearn have continued to support this charity ride backing youth and community causes, including regional initiatives.

In 2014 & 2021, the Wearn family donated land to support Build for a Cure home projects, Mcdonald Jones Homes supplied the labour and materials, as well as Brickworks supplying the Bricks all free of charge. With all proceeds from the auction funding vital childhood cancer research.

Ride for Country Kids from 2014-present each year our directors ride and raise funds. Ongoing support of this iconic charity ride helping deliver health and developmental services to children living in regional and remote NSW.

On the 21st May, a team of ten men, including our very own Rob Wearn, set out to walk 170 kilometres from Bathurst to Blaxland, in participation of The Great Walk Foundation.

Work on all projects have continued to run quite smoothly over recent months which goes to show how hard our operators and supervisors are working.

Mulgoa Quarries has proudly worked for Australia’s largest brick manufacturer, Brickworks (Austral), for 20 years, since early 1999.

Yesterday, our team came together to complete their CPR and First Aid training with Highlands First Aid Training Solutions.

One of our project teams wrapped up a stockpile last week, moving over 57,000 tonnes of material.

Our team have been mining at the Bringelly site for two months, extracting blue and brown shale and moving 5,000 tonnes per day to stockpile. So far, over 100,000 tonnes of blue shale has been stockpiled.

Early start, big moves. There’s nothing like sunrise on site to kick off a solid day of work. 💪

Our Meadow Flat project will be mined and rehabilitated over the course of a few weeks. The site has been waking up to -6°C temperatures and frosty mornings, setting the scene for a chilly but productive few weeks ahead.

We’re proud to celebrate 25 years with Shane “Tug” Wilson – a key member of the Mulgoa Quarries team and a driving force behind many of the safety systems we have in place today.

Our team has been busy in the workshop keeping our fleet in top condition. The CAT 352 excavator recently required warranty repairs on the hydraulic pump.
