CAT technicians attended site, and the machine has since been sent to their Tomago workshop in Newcastle for a rebuild. Once complete, the pump will be refitted and the machine returned to service.
The 12M grader is also receiving some general maintenance. The front axle was removed due to wear, with all pins, bushes, and front wheel bearings replaced. The wheel lean bar has been line bored, rust repairs are underway on the body panels, and the blade side shift cylinder is being resealed. New blade lift yokes have also been installed, along with fresh bearings and bushes.
