The Austral Bricks Plant 3 Quarry East project involved the excavation and loading of 800,000 tonnes of blue shale, along with the desilting of 30,000 m³. Remediation works included 120,000 m³ of uncontrolled fill and an additional 450,000 m³ of imported material to stabilise the site. Furthermore, 120,000 m³ of rock was excavated to prepare the footprint for a future industrial building, supporting both site remediation and development objectives.
As an extension of the project, approximately 325,000 m³ of clay, brown, and blue shale was excavated through selective excavation, alongside 100,000 m³ of detailed excavation to address differential settlement. The works also included quarry remediation, with 300,000 m³ of controlled fill rehabilitation to restore and stabilise the site.
