As a truck and dog driver at Wearn, you will be responsible for operating heavy vehicles safely and efficiently across a variety of projects. You will work closely with other site personnel to deliver materials and manage waste in a timely and organised manner, ensuring compliance with all safety and site requirements. Your role is essential to the smooth running of operations across our projects.
In this role, you will drive truck and dog combinations across multiple sites, ensuring loads are delivered safely and on schedule. You will adhere to site procedures and transport compliance requirements, maintain your allocated vehicle in excellent condition, and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to support operational efficiency.
You will be accountable for safe and professional operation of your vehicle, following all workplace health and safety practices. Consistency, reliability, and teamwork are critical, as your work directly impacts project delivery and site efficiency. You will also take ownership of your allocated equipment, ensuring it is properly maintained and ready for each shift.
The ideal candidate will hold an HC licence or higher and have proven experience operating truck and dog combinations. A strong focus on safety, professionalism on site, and the ability to work reliably as part of a team are essential for this role. You should take pride in your work and in the condition of the vehicle you operate.
